Success is not the only thing that has a sweet smell. Apparently, there is also a sweet smell of
bankruptcy!
Betsey Johnson filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last Thursday
and instead of feeling glum, she popped bottles of champagne and ate cupcakes
with her now ex-employees.
Betsey Johnson’s ex-design team celebrated getting their
pink slips with newly resigned CEO Jon Friedman.
Betsey and her design team were having a company-wide
meeting that turned into a party.
I guess there was no need to have a meeting anymore? The celebration took place in the showroom
where cupcakes and champagne were served.
Cupcakes and champagne during a bankruptcy is always better
than being down in the dumps. The sugar
servings were a great idea Betsey! It’s
kind of difficult to be sad when your on a sugar high.
